As the analysts forecast, Russian hotel business is awaiting a burst of activity in the nearest 3-4 years. Even today the hotel business is developing more rapidly than other sectors of the real estate market in a number of regions. The greatest activity of the hotels’ building can be observed in Moscow, St. Petersburg and in a number of cities-millionaires. Yekaterinburg is not an exception here: several hotel complexes are being built here today.

According to the data of the Committee of the commodity market, 29 hotels, 2 campsites and 18 additional accommodation means run in Yekaterinburg. The majority of the hotel clients (66 per cent) are businessmen, coming to the city on business purposes, 14,5 per cent – tourists, coming to Yekaterinburg for the sake of entertainment, 0,8 per cent – people, coming to undergo some treatment, 21,7 per cent – those who visit the city due to some other reasons.

A long term programme is aimed at the reconstruction of the accommodation facilities and building modern complexes is worked out in Yekaterinburg. According to this project 35 new hotels are to be built by the year of 2015.
